
NATIONAL AWARD WINNER: Congratulations to PG Jazz Band 1 for being selected as the winner of the 2024 DownBeat Award in the Junior High Large Jazz Ensemble category! This national award is one of the most prestigious awards school jazz bands can receive.
Jazz 1 is featured, alongside the winners of the other categories, in the June 2024 issue of DownBeat Magazine - the preeminent jazz magazine in the US for 90 years. Keep an eye out for an upcoming article featuring Jazz 1 in the Northwest Herald as well. Well-deserved recognition for an incredible year for this band!

Elementary yearbooks will be sent home today. If you did not order a yearbook and would like one, we have a few extras for purchase at Fine Arts Night this Wed. from 5:00-6:30. The yearbooks will be sold for $25 and must be picked up with CASH in the lobby while supplies last.

Boys MNC Conference Track Meet has been moved to 5/14/24 @ Harvard High School.


Congratulations to our PG Advanced Band and PG Jazz Band 1 for fantastic performances at State Contest! Both bands earned Division I Superior Ratings for their performances, and Jazz 1 earned the High Honors distinction for the third year in a row!
Both bands earned the best overall scores they have ever received at State. This includes Advanced Band receiving their first perfect score from a State judge, and Jazz 1 receiving perfect scores from ALL three State judges for an overall perfect score! This is the first time any PG Band has had a clean sweep of perfect scores.
We are so proud of these band members for all their hard work, care, and dedication to making great music together on what has been a busy and rewarding year - way to go, band!!





Enrollment for returning families for the 2024-25 school year will be available via Skyward beginning Monday, May 1, 2024 through June 7, 2024. Enrollment is required for all returning District 46 students for the 2024-25 school year. ECE / Preschool and Kindergarten registration / residency appointments will be scheduled in June. Check your email for the registration links and information.

PGEL is so pleased to be participating in the American Heart Association's Kids Challenge. Your son or daughter brought home a flier this week. Many thanks to our EL PE Department for spearheading this worthwhile event.
