The Student Services department provides many services including preschool screening, evaluation for special education services and 504 accommodations, and a variety of other services and programs.

• 2025-2026 ECE/Preschool and Kindergarten registration will be open to all families beginning on Friday, January 31st. A registration link will be available on the website:  Visit www.dist46.org > Quick Links > Registration. 

• Current preschool families with a child continuing in preschool for the 2025-2026 school year will be sent a link on Wednesday, January 29th, for priority registration. 

• Students with disabilities who do not qualify for an individualized education program under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, may qualify for services under Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 if the student (i) has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, (ii) has a record of a physical or mental impairment, or (iii) is regarded as having a physical or mental impairment.

• School personnel who provide related services to students are required to maintain written logs that contain the service provided, the date and the number of minutes administered. These related service logs must be provided to parents/guardians during the student’s annual review IEP meeting and also anytime upon request. These service logs are considered part of a student’s temporary school records.
